Did you know 60% of people with pre-diabetes can avoid diabetes by simple lifestyle changes? This pre-diabetes class is designed for those at risk including: overweight with/without elevated cholesterol or blood pressure, having a family history or gestational (pregnancy) diabetes history, and anyone diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Metabolic Syndrome, Glucose Intolerance, Pre-diabetes, or elevated fasting blood sugar/s. Join Sandie Anderson, Nurse Practitioner, Barb Marsh, Registered Dietitian, and Leslie Mackey, Fitness Guru and Exercise Physiologist, to learn about and discuss the following: What is the diagnosis of pre-diabetes and what does it mean? Fun ways to add physical activity to your life. Creating a healthy food plan. Interpreting food labels. Developing a plan for reasonable weight loss.

Join the Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland for an hour of specialized exercise instruction for people with Parkinson's. Participants will eat lunch with friends and enjoy the remaining time with planned recreational activities. Caregivers are encouraged to use this time for respite.
