10:30AM-2:30PM Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland Wellness Class

Join the Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland for an hour of specialized exercise instruction for people with Parkinson's. Participants will eat lunch with friends and enjoy the remaining time with planned recreational activities. Caregivers are encouraged to use this time for respite.

If you live with or care for someone with pain, diabetes, breathing issues, heart issues or the effects of a stroke on a daily basis this interactive workshop is for you. This six-week interactive workshop will help you develop skills to live better with your chronic disease. We will be sharing and learning from each other ways to deal with fatigue, pain, physical activity, healthy eating, emotions and how to talk with your family, friends and health professionals.

Instructors: Nichole Burnett, MS, RD,LD, Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences and Shari Tedford, RN, BAN, Public Health

Cost: $15, (includes book) (Scholarships are available to those who demonstrate need.)
