12:10PM-12:50PM Strong People

Learn nine strength-training exercises that increase strength, muscle mass, improve balance, flexibility, bone and joint health and sense of well-being. The program is easy, non-threatening and comfortable.

You do not have to be "in-shape" to participate. You are asked to attend an orientation session two weeks before in order to complete a Participant Summary Information Sheet, Medical History and Current Health Survey and Informed Consent Form. For participants who are 70 years or older, or for those with health concerns as reflected on the health surveys, a "Dear Doctor" letter and a completed Physician Authorization Form will be required. Forms will be submitted for completion as registrations are received.

Tuesdays and Thursdays,
April 1 – June 22

Join the Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland for an hour of specialized exercise instruction for people with Parkinson's. Participants will eat lunch with friends and enjoy the remaining time with planned recreational activities. Caregivers are encouraged to use this time for respite.
